The Job
WB Games NY is looking to fill a Lead DevOps Engineer position.
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a primary role in developing and supporting cloud-based tools and services utilized across the WB Games studio. You will provide technical leadership to a small team of DevOps Engineers.
Your Role Accountabilities…
This position requires close collaboration with members of the shared services engineering team as well as interfacing with local studios, corporate IT, and vendors, to help define how we develop and release and maintain our shared tools and infrastructure.
Qualifications & Essentials…
5+ years of experience in managing AWS environments and developing DevOps pipelines
Proven experience in team leadership and management
Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience and success
Expert knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including CloudFormation, EC2, Elasticache, S3, IAM, and DynamoDB
Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git, Perforce).
Strong background in configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
Expert bash shell scripting
Significant Ruby or Python programming ability
Experience with containerization technology such as Docker or Kubernetes
Strong background in cloud networking principles and design
Expert Linux system administration with RedHat-style distributions
Documentation/presentation skills
Strong problem solving and debugging skills
Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
Experience and interest in providing technical and professional mentoring to members of your team
Ability to assess the quality of engineering work by colleagues and vendors
